Minor Autohemotherapy can be a life saver

There is (always) huge hype around adjunct, alternate or complementary therapies – especially when they work!

One can trawl the internet and find many testimonials from people who have been cured of diseases from diabetes to cancer through anything from eating papaya pips to drinking hydrogen peroxide.

At The Ozone Pod, we have seen amazing results with our patients undergoing minor Autohemotherapy (mAHT) treatment.

In fact, one of our patients with Stage III lung cancer who refused chemotherapy and other conventional treatments, and who was given a very poor prognosis at the time of diagnosis, has been called a ‘medical miracle’ by the doctor who gave him the bad news in February 2016.  This patient is being treated by us with, amongst other protocols, mAHT infused with Ozone.  His scans two weeks ago showed impressive healing - the results of our team-work with him.  Not only has the cancer growth been stopped, but his lung function is so good, the intern at the hospital he went to told him to ‘carry on doing whatever it is you are doing’.

So he is coming back next week for continued treatment with us.

What is Autohemotherapy?

Autohemotherapy is the immediate intramuscular, or subcutaneous reinjection of freshly drawn autologous blood.  Autologous blood means we use the patients own blood as opposed to allogenic blood - that which is received from a donor (as used in blood transfusions).

An effective way to administer mAHT is with the addition of Ozone.

The ozone fragments most virions without regard to preserving cellular elements.  Once injected intramuscularly, the treated blood carries these fragments of viral envelope and nuleic acids through the general circulation of the body and into the immune network.  If the immune network is relatively operational, it begins to manufacture appropriate antibodies which in turn, serve to counter the evolution of any infection.

The benefit of using this technique is that the antibodies which are manufactured, are individualized to the patient since they are derived from their own viral or bacterial stock.  mAHT can thus be conceptualized as a method of auto-vaccination, providing a high degree of antibody specificity.

In patients who have been ill for a long time, the first line of defence has most often been weakened.  Ozone mAHT specifically stimulates the body’s second line of defence which is so important in autoimmune diseases and long-term chronic illnesses.  It has the ability to reactivate the body’s natural killer cells.

How Is It Administered?

It is a quick procedure where a small amount of blood is taken from the patient’s vein.  It is then enriched in another syringe containing ozone.  This enriched blood is then injected into the patient’s gluteal muscle, or sometimes under the patient’s skin.

Minor Autohemotherapy has proven itself to be of great value as a non-specific immune-activator with benefits in any condition where increased immune activity is desired.

The treatment process lasts about 10 minutes and can be carried out three or more times per week, dependent on the patient’s condition.

During June 2016, we have Dr Mitch holding an mAHT Clinic at The Ozone Pod.  Make your appointments now by calling us on 011 465 4514

Can Ozone Therapy Cure Damaged Kidneys?

Kidney failure is when the kidneys stop working well enough for you to live without dialysis or a kidney transplant. Kidney failure can happen very suddenly (called acute renal failure) or slowly over time. In most cases, kidney failure is permanent. This is called end-stage renal disease or ESRD.

Many patients are treated with allopathic medication such as prednisone, cyclophosphamide, and other immunosuppresant drugs as well as renal dialysis and even surgeries and transplants.

Ozone not only assists with the elimination of toxins but also helps to regulate and enhance immune functions.

Many kidney disease patients suffer from renal ischemia and renal hypoxia.  Ozone therapy relieves the lack of oxygen and blood in the kidneys.

With ozone therapy, there are no surgical procedures involved and patients are not at risk for side-effects which surgery and drugs can bring on.  At The Pod, we use minor Autohemotherapy in conjunction with Hyperthermia Therapy to help a patient in renal failure.  While we advocate that they continue with their treatment regime as set down by their specialists, we also believe using ozone treatments as an adjunct or complementary treatment will be beneficial as it increases the amount of oxygen in the blood in the kidneys, thereby preventing further deterioration.  In some cases, it has been found to repair damaged renal tissues.

Ozone Therapy also helps patients who are on dialysis.  Typically, patients will experience a boost of energy after their ozone treatment.  They report alleviation of chronic pain, better sleep quality as well a general feeling of wellbeing.  As mentioned earlier, ozone increases the oxygen levels in the bloodstream, which helps to detoxify the body, giving the liver, colon, skin and kidneys less of a work load to keep the body flushed of toxic substances.

Ozone breaks down rapidly from O3 to O2 to O-.   This single negatively charged oxygen atom not only attached itself to free radicals but creates organic peroxide which the human body utilizes effectively.  Peroxides increase oxygen in the blood.

Unfortunately, there is no cure yet for kidney failure although both ozone treatment along with osmotherapy and other allopathic medications can have great success in stimulating the repair of kidney tissues and cells and helping to restore renal function to some extent.

There is a cure for Lyme Disease

There are dozens of testimonials about various therapies which have cured patients of Lyme Disease on the internet and YouTube - and all have a similar thread.  Ozone Therapy.

Lyme Disease is an infection caused by being bitten by an infected tick. The first and typical symptom is usually a rash that spreads out from the site of the tick bite. Left untreated, the germs (bacteria) can spread to other areas of the body.
Not all sufferers will experience this rash.

Ozone Hyperthermia Therapy (a steam cabinet, or as we call it, The Pod) is by far the preferred method of application of patients who have testified to being cured of Lyme Disease.
This is because the patient feels relaxed, warm and there has been no invasion as with other therapies such as intravenous lines or insufflation.

Lyme Disease already makes the patient feel so ill, with headaches, nausea, chronic fatigue, muscle and skeletal pain amongst others that we don’t want to subject them to anything that will add to the debilitating condition they already find themselves in.

Despite its healing properties through the hyperthermic application of ozone, the faint hint of it while sitting in The Pod also has a disinfecting fragrance which stimulates the olfactory senses and sends healing signals to the brain.

Diet too plays an important role in the elimination of the disease.  Lyme Disease is a bacteria which feeds off, amongst others, sugar.  Sugar and complex carbohydrates need to be removed from your diet.  Not all at once you understand.  It’s bad enough that the ozone therapy will be detoxifying your body and starting its miraculous work of ridding your bloodstream of those spirochetes (the bacteria that carries Lyme) which feed off sugars.  And some people might be prone to some detox side effects such as headaches and fatigue – even more than the Lyme already is causing.  So, start slowly and be kind to your body.  Start your ozone therapy first.  Once the detox has reached its peak, then slowly change your diet, one item at a time.

We offer a well-researched and step-by-step diet changing plan to complement Ozone Therapy.  Simply ask a therapist at your consultation about it.

De-Stress and Detox

The lymphatic system plays a vital role in the body’s fight against disease.  It is made up of clear ‘tubes’ filled with clear lymphatic fluid.  If either the tubes, ducts or the nodes get clogged up, it can compromise the body’s immune system.

Lymphatic Drainage is a type of massage which stimulates the lymphatic system into releasing blockages and assists the body in removing toxins, metabolic waste, bacteria and other pathogens through natural circulation in the lymph system.  Exercise is important in keeping the lymphatic system running as is massage, some adjunct therapies such as cranio-sacral therapy and, naturally, our area of expertise, Ozone Therapy.

Along with Ozone Hyperthermia Therapy which oxidizes these pathogens, The Pod’s DeStress-Detox Programme gives the body a huge boost in ridding itself of toxins while at the same time, it gently introduces enriched oxygen into the bloodstream.

Who Should Get a Lymph Drainage Massage?

Anybody! Everybody!
If you’ve been feeling off-colour or you’ve been ill, if you’ve just had surgery, or you’re a sportsperson who trains hard and has suffered an injury, lymph drainage can help to get you back on track.  In fact, it assists patients who suffer from CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome), fibromyalgia, and many other physical conditions.  Many patients who have just had surgery will find that their lymph nodes are swollen as huge demands are placed on them for recovery.  Deep tissue massage at this stage is not recommended, which is why our Aromatherapist at The Pod will use effleurage massage techniques during the De-Stress massage part of the treatment.

What is a De-Stress/Detox Treatment?

For the first half hour of the treatment, the Aromatherapist will concentrate on gentle massage using a detoxifying blend of pure essential oils.  She will concentrate on stimulating the lymph nodes where the patient has the most need.

After a short rest, the patient will be put into a hyperthermic pod by a Practitioner, where ozone will be introduced.  Steam in the pod opens the pores of the skin allowing transdermal absorption of the ozone into the bloodstream.

We recommend this treatment regime once every second week, with alternating Ozone and/or Aromatherapy sessions in between.

Ozone Treatment helps Eczema Patient

Our patient, Jean (not her real name) arrived at The Pod with cracked hands from a very bad outbreak of eczema.  She had spent quite some time trying various alternative remedies along with some allopathic medications.

Eczema frequently includes very dry patches of skin which can make the skin so fragile that it cracks very easily (as in Jean's case). The raised skin of eczema may also resemble that of severe sunburn or a peeling blister or callus and in some cases, may even cause raw and open wounds.  In others, peeling skin reveals broken skin or open blisters. These should be carefully treated to avoid introducing a bacterial or viral infection, which ozone treats due to its disinfectant properties.  In some severe cases of eczema, cracking of the skin, oozing and bleeding can become dangerous as infection is quick likely to set in due to the skin wounds.

While Ozone can irritate dry skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis, when applied in low enough doses and over a longer period of time, some relief can be attained in these patients.  Ozone is also a natural disinfectant, so it stood to reason that having oxygen therapy would at least the very least clear up (and in turn prevent) any infection.  We could see that there was already some infection in her hands and so we offered Jean Pod sessions to help boost her immune system as well as Ozone Gel to use on her hands at night.  While waiting for her first Pod session, Jean applied the Ozone Gel and wrapped her hands in clingwrap (we said gloves, Jean!) at bedtime and within three days she had already seen a marked difference.

Before Treatment (already 3 days use of Ozone Gel)
The photo's at left are from before her first treatment on 30 November (after she had already started using the Ozone Gel) and her third treatment on 19 December 2015.

You can see that she had taped up areas of her hand where the eczema was starting to crack beneath the creases in her fingers.

Three weeks later, Jean was thrilled to see how the infected areas had cleared up.  While the skin on her hands were now very dry, she told us that she had more movement and could open and close her hands without feeling like they were going to burst open.

After Three Treatments
(The redness of her hand is because she
had just got out of the Pod and was still quite hot)
Jean will continue on a maintenance program, along with our recommendation of using various essential oil blends to moisturise her hands without causing any further harm or irritation.  We have also suggested she sees a hand therapist for mobility exercises to get the muscles working again. And naturally, to keep up with her Ozone treatments!

Ozone Therapy Gives Life to Breast Cancer Patients

The Ozone Pod in Fourways supports Breast Cancer Patients

It's October.  That means it's Breast Cancer Awareness month. We see companies and charities all going pink during October in an attempt to create awareness and raise funds.

But what about the rest of the year?
Breast cancer victims suffer through the other 11 months too.  In some rural areas of South Africa, women think that they will only get breast cancer in October... that's because of all the hype around it in the month.

We were fortunate enough to witness the amazing benefits of Ozone Therapy on two breast cancer patients.

One chose to take the allopathic route with chemo, surgery and radiation.  The other refused.

Let's call Patient A, Agatha.  Agatha was diagnosed with Stage IV triple-negative breast cancer.   Pathology results showed the cells tested negative for hormone epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER-2), estrogen receptors (ER), and progesterone receptors (PR).  Since the tumour lacked these receptors, regular treatments like hormone therapy with drugs targeting estrogen, progesterone and HER-2 would be ineffective.  Her oncologist, however, suggested chemotherapy and surgery anyway.  He also did not believe she would live more than three months.

She went ahead with his suggestions, having the chemo, surgery and radiation, but she also purchased an Ozone Hyperthermia Therapy sauna cabinet.  She ozonated her body once a day, every day, for 30 minutes.  She also changed her diet, cutting out sugars, complex carbs and diary.  She was fiesty, had energy and looked fabulous.  Six years later, Agatha passed away.  And not from the cancer.  She was killed in a car accident.

Ozone Autohemotherapy assists breast cancer patient

Patient B, Corrine (not her real name either), was diagnosed under mammography and sonar with a 3cm tumour in her right breast.  Again, surgery, chemotherapy and radiation were ordered by her doctor.  Corrine refused this treatment and instead started Ozone Autohemotherapy with a Practitioner near her home.  Within three months her tumour had shrunk by half and within 9 months she was completely clear.  Corrine still continues a maintenance programme to keep the cancer at bay and to date has been clear for over two years.

While these two cases are completely different, both patients benefited from Ozone Therapy during their illness.  We do not dismiss any doctor's treatment regimes for cancer, but we do urge patients to use Ozone as an adjunct or complementary treatment.

Don't Give Up!

We met a lady the other day who boldly stated "Ozone didn't help me in fact it made me feel even sicker!"

When I questioned her on how she had been treated, it was clear that the 'Ozone Practitioner' she had been to was of the 'back-room' type and had not been trained properly (if at all) in the protocols of Ozone Hyperthermia Therapy.

Said lady's friend had purchased a small second-hand ozone pod for home use off an internet site.  She had set it up in a room in her house and turned it into a business to recoup the costs of the machine.  When the lady went in for her sessions, she came away feeling awful and did not see the value of the therapy, which had been rather expensive.  No wonder - after some investigation, we worked out that the 'practitioner' had set her machine at a one-stop-fits-all setting of 100% ozone and 100% steam at 40 degrees Celsius and was gaily making sick people feel even worse.

Warning!
Now we don't want to knock this person as we're sure she also means well, but 'playing with ozone' is like playing with fire - if you don't know what you're doing, you're sure to burn your bridges (in more ways than one).

Don't Give Up On Ozone

After taking a full medical history of this lady, we found she has a heart condition, for which she takes chronic medication, and had recently been experiencing headaches.  We found that a side-effect of the medication was headaches, however, her blood pressure was also high which too could be why she was suffering from them.  She also was extremely stressed in her job (putting that blood pressure up) and had recently suffered a loss in her family.
Our protocol therefore was adjusted specifically to her needs.

Under no circumstances would we induce high temperature steam into the pod as this would cause the heart to beat too fast and could damage the already damaged heart even further.  We would start her at a low dosage of ozone as the detoxifying effects could bring on an even bigger headache (which the poor lady didn't need) and we really wanted to heal her body and show her the benefits of using Ozone Therapy.

Five sessions later, we asked her if her initial statement still held true.
"Oh no!" she exclaimed, "I am feeling so much better and I haven't had a headache in a week now.  Also, I have more energy and I feel like I'm dealing with my loss a lot easier."

Ozone Therapy is extremely beneficial when used under the correct protocols, but, like everything else, when not used properly can cause untold problems and create disillusioned patients who give up hope.

PS: We've been in touch with the 'practitioner' and offered her proper training.  Sadly, she has refused.

October's Special

While everyone is concentrating on breast cancer (because it's October) and while we sympathize with BC sufferer's around the world, we wanted to show our appreciation to ALL with our October Special :

Bring your partner, your friend, your mother, your father, even your daughter or your son, your cousin and his cousin and his second twice removed third cousin... man, bring 'em all!

We've found the Couples Sessions to be a bit hit and so would like to offer you R150 off your portion when you book a 3-session DETOX PROGRAMME.

Many people are a bit hesitant of getting into a Pod on their own, or they might be a little claustrophobic.  Having a partner sitting in another Pod opposite is calming and helps them to enjoy the benefits of the ozone.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email us on info@theozonepod.co.za

Wishing you all a FANTASTIC month!

Ozone is not just for humans!

Ozone Therapy used to blast an abscess on a dog at The Ozone Pod, Fourways, Johannesburg South Africa
House Call to Rolo to clear
an abscess on her leg
One of our patients mentioned in passing that her poor furry baby had suddenly developed an unusual abscess on her leg and was in so much pain she could hardly walk.

Ozone to the rescue!

We took one of our portable ozonators and did our first house call.

Rolo's leg was bagged (thank you Checkers for your packets!) for 3 x 30 minute sessions over a two day period.  She clearly knew the ozone was going to help her as she lay very quietly, allowing the ozone to do it's miraculous work.

By the end of the first session she was already putting weight on her leg and after the third session the abscess had subsided considerably (instead of popping, which they are usually prone to do).

Apart from clearing the abscess, the oxygen which was absorbed into Rolo's bloodstream assisted her body with ridding itself of the toxins through normal channels, but also gave her an additional boost of energy.

We are so happy we were able to help get her back onto her feet again!
