5 WAYS TO DETOX YOUR BODY

Hello Podders!

Welcome to the New Year! May it be abundant with good health!

I’m sure you’ve all eaten too much, partied too much, had too much fun in the sun after the summer Christmas holidays right?

And I also bet that your poor body is feeling sluggish and you’ve not enjoyed your first week back at the office.  You’re yawning at 3pm, by 7pm you find yourself wishing for bedtime and when it’s time to get up at 6am you hit the snooze button on the alarm a good few times before dragging yourself out of bed.  Repeat.  Right?

Be kind to yourself.  It’s not just the Summer Holidays that have hurt you…. It’s also all the chemicals we subject our bodies to… the pollutants in the air we breathe, the skin products we use, the chemicals in the products we clean our homes, our clothes, our cars with… the list is endless.  It is estimated there are over 80,000 hazadous chemicals we are exposed to nowadays.

Well, we have a solution at The Ozone Pod.  Five simple ways to DETOX your body so that you can feel more energetic and get rid of those nasty nunu’s that are stopping you from jumping head first into the New Year with vigour and passion!

So, let’s get to it.
  1. Get your head right.
By that I don’t mean, turn it to the right, I mean, work through what you are expecting from your detox and how you are going to manage it.  Tell your family and your co-workers what your intentions are and ask for their support.  Ask them to help you up when you feel you are not staying on track.  Ask them not to tempt you with foods and drinks you are choosing to stop partaking in.
  2. Ozonate Your Body
Doing a 30 minute ozone pod session each day for 3 days is one of the best ways to detox. Ozone eliminates toxins such as fungus, bacteria, viruses, parasites and heavy metals. It is estimated that the average person hosts more than 700 toxins in their bodies at any given time.
  1. Get your diet in shape.
Stay away from sugars and carbohydrates.  Pile up with fresh (organic if possible) veggies and fruit and limit your protein intake of red meat.  Keeping your blood sugar levels constant will help prevent mood swings and hormonal imbalances, so eat small frequent meals.
  1. Drink water and fermented drinks.
It goes without saying – drink water!  We also advocate that you drink fermented teas such as Kombucha which has made a huge name in the market and is easy to make at home these days.  Fermented drinks are loaded with organic acids, potassium, enzymes and probiotics – all super ways to keep your digestive system cleansed.
  1. Get good quality sleep.
It’s not the quantity of sleep, it’s the quality!  Switch off TV’s, cellphones and other devices an hour before bedtime.  Take a long relaxing bath to which you have added a handful of Epsom Salts and, while you’re in the bath, brush your body with an organic loofah.  Add a couple of drops of lavender or chamomile essential oils to the warm water for extra pampering.
Cleansing and re-loving your body is essential to your health and wellbeing and should be undertaken regularly.

So you think compost is only for gardens?

Finally!  Fulvic Acid is getting the recognition it deserves!  And we have the best here at The Pod.  It’s in powder form and tastes delicious.
So what is it then?

Actually, it's sort of like compost...

Fulvic Acid typically is extracted from humic deposits.  These are very rare and were created from ancient lush vegetation through microbial activity over hundreds and thousands of years.
It contains a great number of naturally occurring bioactive substances which include super-charged antioxidants.  Which is why, using it daily while undergoing ozone therapy, is of huge benefit.  Fulvic acid also includes free-radical scavengers, powerful detoxifying enzymes, hormones, amino acids, along with natural antibiotics, antivirals and fungicides.  It is considered one of nature’s best immune boosters.
Tests have shown that consumption of fulvic acid reduces the incidence of digestive disorders such as SIBO (small intestine bacterial overgrowth) and inflammatory bowel disorders such as Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS).  It also helps with reducing constipation, bloating, diarrhea, and food sensitivities.
In a 2011 study published in the “Journal of Alzheimer’s Disease”, it was reported that Fulvic Acid’s combination of antioxidant and neutraceutical properties could potentially protect against diseases such as dementia and Alzheimer’s.
Fulvic Acid can be used topically to treat wounds, itches and rashes.  It is also been used to treat athlete’s foot.
There are many other health benefits to taking Fulvic Acid.  As it is a natural chelator, it binds easily to nutrients, minerals and metals enabling our bodies to readily absorb the nutrients.
Another fantastic benefit is that Fulvic Acid restores the body’s optimal pH levels by alkalizing the body and preventing an overly acidic environment.  Disease thrives in acidic environments, so using Fulvic Acid can prevent diseases and improve our defences against harmful bacteria, viruses, yeast, fungi and other infectious organisms.
People taking Fulvic Acid have also reported a noticeable improvement in their energy levels, which is likely due to better detoxification as well as reduced inflammation and free radical damage.

While Fulvic acid is a naturally occurring organic product and completely non-toxic, we advise that you should always consult a qualified health care professional before taking any supplements to ensure that they don’t interfere with any other ongoing treatments or medications.
